Season Finale Ticket Buyers

Dear Friend of the Anchorage Symphony,

Your Anchorage Symphony Orchestra has a long history of bringing our community together – in good and in challenging times. Bringing Great Music to Every Life is our life’s work at the ASO.

That’s why it’s difficult but necessary to cancel our upcoming Season Finale scheduled for April 4, 2020. The quickly evolving public health crisis as well as our concern for the safety and well-being of everyone in our community has led us to this decision.

As our world and our community heals, we ask that you please take the precautions our government leaders and medical professionals recommend.   While we in the performing arts love large crowds, now is the time to heed the urging of our leaders regarding social distancing.

While we cannot be together now, let’s please stay in touch. In the coming weeks, keep an eye on your inbox and our social media channels as we work on creative ways to stay connected and recall highlights of our season.

The Anchorage Symphony deeply appreciates your support through your ticket purchase to our Season Finale.  As a ticket buyer you have options regarding this cancellation that will be processed through CenterTix:

Donate your ticket back to the ASO (a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization): Your tax-deductible donation today means that the next time you join us for a concert or event, the ASO will be available and ready to share the joy of live music with you once more, as a healthy, vibrant, and financially secure organization.

Or the ASO will happily refund the cost of your Season Finale tickets.

Let us know what you would like to do:

To say this cancellation is disappointing is a vast understatement.  Your Anchorage Symphony musicians and our Music Director Randy Fleischer have performed a stellar and memorable season that was literally building to a GLORIOUS finale.  Two hundred high school students and their dedicated Choir Directors have been preparing the Vivaldi Gloria since school began in August.

There are sad hearts today with this announcement, yet we remain determined that when the "all clear" sounds – we will rush to gather, celebrate jubilantly, and let great music ring again for you – our cherished friends and neighbors.

Until then, be well.

Sherri Burkhart Reddick
Executive Director
